This Fall term has definitely challenged me in ways that I couldn't have fathom. Before starting this new school year, I knew I wanted to do something different, something for a change. Little did I know, these changes would surmount to being one of the best decisions I've made in my life. For the first time in my college career I juggled academics as a full time student, working at a pediatric clinic, and pledging for a fraternity. If there's one aspect I've learned with having so much on my plate, it would be learning to excel in time management. Of course I've faltered, especially in the beginning. But as the weeks progressed, so did the way I prioritized my time. My dearest friends whom I've grown up with have noticed a change in me. Ultimately, that change was that I wanted to reinvent myself and to see what I'm capable of. A year ago, I admired my friends for juggling school and work. Now, I'm doing the same plus a little more. It has not been an easy transition, but it is doable. Reflecting back on this term, I remember thinking that these tasks were overwhelming and even "impossible," but after it all has ended, I realized it wasn't so bad after all. The quote, "it always seems impossible until it is done" finally resonates to me. Although some moments seemed challenging, this whole experience has been rewarding none the less.
One thing I can credit this positive change for would be this bullet journal. With the blank dotted pages, I was able to customize it to my own likings. I can make graphs, charts, and even minimal doodles. Everything created on this journal was done by me, and I've learned to embrace the mistakes that I've made. Whether I didn't make a perfect circle or I had to cross out an event, I've come to appreciate that these mistakes gave my bullet journal more character. But above all, I have something I can always go back to when I'm feeing nostalgic. For a person who loves to hold onto memories, I'm thankful this journal documented every moment of this term. Moments that I don't ever want to forget.
Thank you for stopping by, until next time!
