TURTLE ROCK

Before my best friend drove back down to San Diego, what better way to end these last moments together than having a mini scenic adventure. Our final destination was driving to Turtle Rock. Out of the plethora of options of where to go and what to do, I chose this place. This area resembles a place where time slows down. It is here that I can think freely without fear, without doubt. It is here that I feel small in a every positive sense. It here that my tears of worries are replaced with tears of hope.  Thankfully, our other best friend lives closely by so we experienced this moment together. Collectively, we were known as the "three musketeers." Even though we all live in three different cities, we had this moment to be reunited. Turtle Rock is a hidden gem that I share with those who are dear to me. And they, they have been such positive impacts in my life for eight years and counting, so why wouldn't I experience this moment with them?

PS. for those who are contemplating to visit Turtle Rock, I highly recommend it especially during sunset or dawn. However, be prepared to wear some closed toe shoes and to climb boulders. The walk requires some endurance, but none the less, it is all worth it.

2017 REFLECTIONS

2017 REFLECTIONS

After each passing year it has become a habit to reflect on what I've learned and what I can improve on for the following year. If each year is a book, then 2017 synopsis would be about self investment. I've invested on my passions, my friendships, and especially my experiences. I've hit the grandest milestones and it had nothing to do with material accomplishments. Rather, I've created memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. If you asked me two years ago, that I will become the person that I am, I wouldn't believe it. I was once a person who loved my comfort zone and was hesitant to go into the unknown. But this year, I've broken boundaries within myself. I took the plunge to every opportunity that presented itself to me whether in the form of  events or people. Those moments of insane bravery were the moments that I learned the most. I am living the life I've always envisioned myself to be and it wouldn't be possible without each person I've crossed paths with. They have inspired me in ways unimaginable and for that, I'm forever thankful.
