TRAVEL
The past month of February was far from what I expected it be. It challenged my every being especially on my level of patience. When plans are changed abruptly, I normally don't take offense. I know things happen and all we can do is adjust to what the situation demands of us. But for some reason, last minute changes happened consistently. It boiled down to one main thing; the role I played as a daughter and the role I played as a friend collided. The stress came from the conflicting expectations these roles had of me. Ultimately, life is a balance and I'm constantly in search of compromises.
Despite it being a tough month, I didn't want that to be the only thing to be remembered. Just like every aspect of my life, if things were to come to an end, I want to end it on a good note. So what better way than to end the month with what brings me so much bliss? The beach. Driving an hour south, I knew this was the place I wanted to go. I've only heard of this location, but to immerse myself in it was a completely different experience. There's something beautiful about being on a secluded beach. There's not a single trace of the hustle and bustle of the city life. All there was is the sound of waves crashing on the shore to break the silence. Everything seemed to be in a standstill and I am thankful. I am thankful to be experience all that I have and all that is to come.
When doubt, anxiety, or stress slowly consumes you, I recommend driving on a scenic route. You never know, you might find it therapeutic too. Thank you for stopping by, until next time!
